# Change a member's groups

Add a person to another group and check which groups they now belong to.

## When to use this

- When a person takes over work from someone in another group.
- When someone moves to a different team and should join its group.

## Steps

1. Open **User Directory** in the menu on the left. The list of members appears.

2. In the list of members, click the row of the person whose groups you want to change.

3. Further down the person's page, click the plus button in the member groups section. A window for choosing groups opens.

4. In the list on the left of the window, click the group you want to add. The group moves to the selected groups on the right.

5. At the bottom of the window, click the button that adds the selected groups. Its label shows how many groups are selected.

6. Check that the group you added now appears in the member groups section.

## Things to know

- Application cards can be given to a whole group. When you add a person to a group, they also get the cards given to that group.
