Limit where an app can be opened
Limit where a work app can be opened by choosing the places and networks for it.
When to use this
- When people should use an app only at the office, not from home.
- When a company rule says an app may be opened only on your office network.
Steps

Open Applications in the menu on the left.

Open MANAGE APPLICATIONS at the top of the page.

Click the row of the app whose access you want to limit.

Further down the page that opens, turn on Location Control.

Click SELECT GEOFENCE + below Location Control. A list of places opens.

Click Select next to the place where the app may open.

Click APPLY at the bottom of the window.

If the app should also open only from your company network, turn on IP Based Control.

Click SELECT NETWORK + below IP Based Control. A list of networks opens.

Click Select next to the network the app may open from.

Click APPLY at the bottom of the window.

Click save changes at the bottom right of the page.

Check that the switches you turned on are on, with what you picked shown below each one.
Things to know
- What you set here is the default for each account that follows the app’s settings. An account that has its own on or off setting keeps it when you change the setting here.
- An account can also add places or networks of its own, or leave out some of the ones you set here.
